How can Artificial Intelligence regulation become a driver of national competitiveness?
This was the question at the heart of the roundtable organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy at the Centro Studi Americani in Rome in June, on the occasion of the presentation of the Position Paper:
“Simplifying Innovation: Towards an Effective Implementation of Artificial Intelligence Regulation in Italy”
As Datrix, we are pleased to have contributed to the work of AmCham Italy’s Artificial Intelligence & Tech Policy Committee and to have taken part in the roundtable with our Co-Founder, Claudio Zamboni, alongside representatives from leading Big Tech companies, including Giulia Gioffreda (Google), Paolo La Scola (Amazon Web Services), Stefania Sabatini (Oracle), and Alessandra Santacroce (IBM Italy).
The entry into force of the AI Act marks a decisive phase: defining new rules is no longer enough. We need to make them applicable, understandable, and consistent with companies’ ability to innovate, invest, and bring #AI into real business processes.
Regulation can become an enabler of competitiveness only if it supports technological adoption, reduces uncertainty, and fosters an ecosystem capable of combining trust, safety, and growth.
The discussion promoted by AmCham Italy represents an important step in this direction: building a concrete public-private dialogue to make Italy more attractive, innovative, and ready to seize the opportunities offered by AI.
